Pre-set appointments can be a help to your business, allowing you to make good use of your time, but you have to be careful in how you go about getting your appointments. If you are going to a third party to do it, they are most likely going to ask you to pay for the appointments up front, then you have somebody else calling and scheduling.
What we have found out is that these services are basically telemarketers telling the client “whatever.” Our agents go in to the field thinking they have a solid appointment only to hear, “I told that lady not to send anybody out” or “I thought you were just dropping off a brochure”. With these services, the people setting the appointments have no vested interest , beyond getting you as a repeat customer, but they’re really more like a revolving door, always getting new agents. You may get a couple of good appointments, but will mostly be dealing with people who don’t want to talk to you.
There is a better way. Find a good lead source, then hire your own personal appointment setter, someone who works in the same city as you, someone you can speak to face-to-face on a regular basis, someone who understands your schedule.
